I love Gary
I heart Gary so much! He makes me laugh and he is the best dad ever!! Today Wendi was playing with her Mrs. Potato Head. I was so excited for her to get one as a present because I had one when I was little. Except when I was little there was no Mrs only Mr and my set came with the pieces that fit in his butt. Wendi's set has 40 pieces!! He doesn't even have enough holes!! Wendi was making some interesting looks for the Mrs. and of course Gary had to put his two sense in. He said what if you were home alone and went down the hallway and saw Mrs. Potato Head just standing there giving you the evil eye looking like that. I have to admit it would be pretty terrifying. If you don't believe me look at what she looks like. :)
Wendi's Chalk Pictures
We bought Wendi a HUGE box of chalk to draw with. She is really into anything that has to do with coloring or writing. Surprisingly enough she is not bad. Most kids scribble all crazy and draw on everything, but she controls her strokes and concentrates on what she is doing. It is adorable to watch.
Day at the Beach
After the beach we went to the Boardwalk to go on some rides. I was super excited for Wednesday to go on her first ride ever. We tried to take her on the killer whale ride first. I put her in and buckled her seat belt. She thought the whale was cool and she started laughing at it until the ride started... Oh man she freaked out. She made about 2 rounds and they had to stop the ride to get her off. Maybe some day she will like the ride (We hope)
Wendi's first swim lessons
Wendi and Mommy in the pool
Wendi had her first swim lesson on Tuesday. She will be going two days a week for 5 weeks.
She looked so cute in her little bathing suit and she seemed super excited to get in the water. Until the teacher wanted her to get her hair wet and actually move around. She was so stiff and fought me with every movement. Wendi just wanted me to put her down and kept says " Ooooo". We are hoping the more she goes, the more comfortable she will get.

Mommy and Boonie Day
We had a girls day out today. We went to lunch at Chili's and then went shopping at Walmart. We don't have a Walmart near us so we had to drive to Mountain View. But man do they have some good deals! Wendi got a new baby and a big yard fence. Its like a baby gate but it attaches to make a circle. Then we had plans to do some more shopping but we got tired so we ended up cutting our girls day early.
Once we got home and napped we went outside to play. Wendi loves to play outside but she has found her new passion. ...Running down the street away from Mommy. She runs smiling yelling Bye Bye!! I go and bring her back but she continually runs away. So I finally said enough is enough. So Wendi went on a time out with out her baby. It was so sad, she kept saying Baby Baba!! (aka Baby needs Baba) So of course I let her back outside. I then thought I would try out her new yard fence so I could get some gardening done. Of course Wendi had other plans. She just threw out all her toys and then cried because she couldn't reach them. I just gave up and we moved back inside. Maybe we will give it another try tomorrow. :)

Discovery Musuem
We went to the Discovery Museum today with Wendi's friend Brandon. They haven't seen each other in awhile so they were super excited. It really is a double edged sword because I want Wendi to be social and be around other kids, but that means trying to explain sharing to a 16 month old.
Both of the little ones loved playing with the balls and throwing them all over the place. Wendi also loved playing with the play food and dress up clothes. It only took a hundred "don't put that in your mouth" till she realized it was not real food.
We then moved down stairs to the water area. They have an area for the really little ones where they can play with shovels, balls and splash around. For some reason there was only one shovel and of course both of them wanted it. So needless to say the shovel got lost accidentally. It was so fun to see the joy in their faces splashing around and giggling.
